PC players may have to wait just a tad longer before playing The Master Chief Collection on PC.
While Halo’s awesome collection was slated to have its first Halo: Reach beta test in April, 343 community head Brian Jarrad announced that the game would not meeting that date.
Taking to Twitter, Jarrad announced, “This project is complex, and being transparent means sometimes things change vs what we originally hoped. Work continues but the first public fights are pushing out further than originally targeted. Will share more info soon!”

Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be an amazing addition to the PC platform. While it may not be arriving as soon as players may want, it shouldn’t be out of reach for too long.

At long last, Halo: The Master Chief Collection is coming to Windows PCs.
After years of wishes and rumors, fans have gotten their wish: Halo 1,2,3 and ODST on PC! Not just Windows Store either, it’ll also be on Steam!
343 is “bringing Halo to PC the right way”. FOV sliders, mouse and keyboard support, remappable keys, ultrawide support and more will be alive and well in the new port.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection will see each individual game rolled out one at a time instead of releasing all at once. This will allow 343 to maximize the time granted to each game.
Also announced alongside the PC port was the inclusion of Halo: Reach! Anyone who owns Halo: The Master Chief Collection will have access to its multiplayer on Xbox One, but campaign, firefight, and theater will be added as a premium DLC update. PC players will see Reach as the first title available.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection is currently available on Xbox Game Pass for just £7.99 or $9.99 a month. It’s a hell of a deal.
