Google's Hangouts Chat gets emoji reactions in the latest update

Google has rolled out a new update for Hangouts Chat that brings emoji reactions. For those who don’t know, Hangouts Chat is a business-focused app by Google which directly competes with Microsoft Teams. The app was released by Google after the unfortunate failure of both Google Hangouts and Allo.

The latest update will allow users to add quick thumbs-up emoji reactions to the messages like in Teams. The company also added other emoji reactions which can be used within the app to react to messages and comments. The new update is being rolled out to all the G Suite users and Google expects everyone will have access within three days.
