Google Chrome

Just yesterday, Mozilla released a new update for Firefox with improved cookie protection for the users. Though Google has been promising better cookie controls since I/O, Mozilla managed to beat them to the punch.

However, Google has finally stepped up its game and released better cookie controls to Chrome Canary users. If you’re using Chrome Canary then you can head to chrome://flags/#improved-cookie-controls to enable the new cookie controls. According to Google, the flag will “enable third-party cookie blocking and an improved cookie controls UI in incognito mode”. The flag is available for Windows, Mac, Linux and Chrome OS platforms.

Unfortunately, the feature is currently available just for Canary users and will be available for the public in future updates.
