Of all the Photos app out there, Google Photos is probably the one that most people will declare as the winner. Now, with important new features coming into the play the app is about to get a lot more useful than what it is today.

Google Photos product lead, David Lieb took to Twitter to reveal some of the features that are coming to the Google Photos app. David confirmed that manual face tags feature is one of the major features that the company is currently working on. As the name suggests, the feature will let you manually tag faces in photos. So, when Google Photos miserably fail at tagging faces in photos, you’re free to remove the tag, and thanks to this new feature, you’ll be able to add the correct one.

Google is planning to bring another new feature and this is for pet lovers only. The Android maker is working on pet photo sharing, which will let you automatically send pics of your favorite pets to your partner.

In addition to these new features, users will get to delete photos from the library while browsing albums.

And lastly, In Google Photos, you’ll be able to use the web’s search parameter for recently uploaded photos on Android( via XDA). And to make things more convenient, Google will also give you the option to edit timestamps.

David didn’t mention when exactly Google will launch these features. So, we’ll have to wait and see.
