Google-TypeScript

Microsoft recently open-sourced Visual Studio Code, it’s cross-platform development tool for Windows, Mac, and Linux. At its Connect developer event, Microsoft showed off some of the new features of Visual Studio Code. Now, at the event, Microsoft played a video in which Google engineers praised Microsoft’s open-source collaboration. Brad Green, the engineering director for the company’s Angular project stated: “It really became apparent that we share the same soul, and we’ve been able to work really well together because of that.”

The folks at Google are also using Microsoft’s TypeScript and Visual Studio Code to build Angular 2, which is a web development framework.

It’s awesome to see these two tech rivals collaborating together. Hopefully, the companies will continue to collaborate in the future.
