Microsoft vs Google

After collaborating with Microsoft to release a YouTube app for Windows Phone devices, Google has once again showed it true colors. Google today confirmed that the recently updated YouTube app for Windows Phone devices developed by Microsoft has been blocked as it violated their terms and conditions. We are not sure exactly how Microsoft’s latest YouTube app violates Google’s policy.

Here is the statement from Google to The Verge,

Microsoft has not made the browser upgrades necessary to enable a fully-featured YouTube experience, and has instead re-released a YouTube app that violates our Terms of Service,”

“It has been disabled. We value our broad developer community and therefore ask everyone to adhere to the same guidelines.”

We will update the post with more info after Microsoft’s response.
