In an effort to bring more protections in Chrome, Google has launched a plethora of security features for Chrome.

Chrome will now warn you if your username and password have been compromised in a data breach on some site or app. Chrome will then recommend you to check your passwords and will also recommend you to change them everywhere they were used.

Real time phishing protection is another important feature that Google has added in Chrome. This new feature will warn you when visiting malicious sites in 30 percent more cases, thus preventing you from sites that try to scam you into entering your passwords and other sensitive pieces of information. Google said that the rollout this real-time phishing protection to everyone with the “Make searches and browsing better” setting enabled in Chrome.

Google Chrome will also be able to warn you if you enter your Google Account password into a site that it suspects of phishing — this is Google’s predictive phishing feature in action. This feature will work for all the passwords you store in Chrome’s password manager and will work even when you have Sync disabled.

Lastly, Google Chrome for desktops will now give you a visual representation of the profile you’re currently using, which, in turn, will help you make sure that you’re saving your passwords to the right profile. Google also updated the look of the profile menu, allowing you to not only switch between profiles but it also shows if you’re are signed in to Chrome or not.
