Google Calendar now works with Windows Phone 8.1

Let no-one say Microsoft is not accommodating.  After much run around by Google, Microsoft has once again enabled support for Google Calendar in Windows Phone 8.1

The information is via WindowsPhoneHacker, who managed to get his hands on the Windows Phone 8.1 emulator.

That shows that you will be able to sync Google Contacts and Calendar with WP 8.1, and that it even supports multiple Google Calendars.

Also of note is that Windows Phone 8.1 will finally have a new email notification icon in the Status bar, which is of course long overdue.
