Google announces Pixelbook Go laptop with a unique design for $649

At its press event today, Google officially unveiled the Pixelbook Go, its latest affordable Chromebook. The Pixelbook Go comes with a matte finish on the top and an unique, grippy bottom. It features a 13-inch display, an USB-C port, 3.5mm jack and a couple of far-field microphones with ‘Ok Google’ support. Google mentioned that Pixelbook Go comes with an ultra-quiet improved keyboard and offers a 12-hours battery life. It is important to note that Pixelbook Go weighs just two pounds and it is 13 mm thin.

Specs of Pixelbook Go:

  • Intel Core m3, i5, and i7 configurations
  • Either 8GB or 16GB of RAM
  • 64GB, 128GB, or 256GB of storage
  • 2 front-firing speakers
  • 2MP front-facing camera – 1080p at 60fps
  • Titan C chip
  • Normal Wifi and Bluetooth
  • 13.3-inch touch screen
  • 16:9 aspect ratio, both Full HD or 4K “Molecular Display” options
  • Two USB-C ports (each with an accompanying LED)
  • 3.5mm headphone jack
  • Two colors: “Just Black” and a “Not Pink”

You can pre-order the Pixelbook Go in the U.S. and Canada starting at $649 from today. It will be available in January in the U.K.
