In the ongoing lawsuit between Oracle and Google related to Android patent and copyright infringements, Magistrate Judge Paul Grewal last month ordered the CEO’s of both the companies to attend the settlement conference yesterday. As ordered, Larry Page from Google and Larry Ellison from Oracle had a long discussion yesterday in court and it seems they have not yet solved the disputes. So they will meet again tomorrow to continue their settlement talks. According to industry analysts, Oracle is in driver’s seat in this case and they may obtain billions from Google for the past infringements along with per device royalty for the future products.  If it happens, it may be a huge blow for Google which is yet to monetize their Android business.
