EA is giving out a free month of Origin Access to anyone who activates Login Verification on their EA account at any point during October 2019.

Origin Access is EA’s PC gaming subscription with two tiers: Basic and Premier. Basic gives you access to EA’s special library of games known as The Vault, early access to games, and a 10% discount on Origin digital purchases.

Premier gives you full access to games before their release, full access to The Vault, and the same 10% digital discount. Premier members also get special access to things such as Apex Legends’ seasonal Battle Pass.

For those who aren’t already members of Origin Access, you’ll get a free month of Origin Access Basic during November 2019.

Origin Access Basic subscribers simply won’t be billed for the month of November and Origin Access Premier members will get a free month of Premier instead.

If you already have Login Verification enabled, then you don’t need to do anything! Your free month will start automatically in November. Just be aware that EA says there’s a chance your free membership won’t start on November 1st and may take a few days to kick in.

If you haven’t got Login Verification enabled and want in on free stuff (because who doesn’t love free stuff?) then you can follow the directions below:

  1. Login to your EA Account
  2. Head to the Security tab
  3. Under Login Verification, click Turn On
  4. You’ll be able to choose which method you want to use to log in securely, such as getting codes via text, email, call, or via an App Authenticator. Choose your method and a code will be sent to you.
  5. Enter the code to activate Login Verification!

If you’re worried you might ever lose access to your phone/email/App Authenticator, you can also download backup codes for future use. For more information, you can check out EA’s article on the topic.

This offer lasts until October 31st, 2019, so you have literally all month to make your EA account extra secure. You can find the full terms and conditions by following the link here.
