Samsung’s Galaxy Buds have received a massive firmware update today, adding support for Samsung’s Bixby voice assistant. This will allow users to turn on music and audio, place a call, check battery levels, change equalizer settings, and more. In addition the update includes touchpad improvements for double and triple taps, as well as the ability to activate Ambient Sound by holding the touchpad of each earbud.

Currently, these updates are only available for English and Korean speaking users. And of course any Bixby features are going to need a Samsung phone to be of any use. But other Android users should certainly appreciate the other updates to the buds.

You can update your buds by having them connected to your phone and launching your Galaxy Wearable app. A pop-up should appear if an update is available for your Galaxy Buds. Read more here at SamMobile.
