Forza Motorsport, the latest installment in Microsoft’s popular racing game series, launched today on Xbox and Windows PCs. However, PC gamers are not happy with the game’s optimization, according to reviews on Reddit and other websites.

“PC Optimization seems pretty bad according to most reviews, which is a shame, since FM7 ran like butter,” one Reddit user wrote.

Another user said on Forza’s forum, “I can confirm, PC is a broken mess. Running a Ryzen 7 3700X, 3070 ti with 64Gb Ram, on a 1440p LG monitor and I can’t even manage a stable 60 FPS…this is sad. Back to Horizon I guess.”

It is not yet known what the specific causes of the optimization issues are, but many PC gamers are experiencing stuttering, low frame rates, and other performance problems. These problems could be caused by bugs in the game itself, in the drivers, or a combination of both.

One YouTuber, Digital Foundry, conducted a technical review of Forza Motorsport and found that the game’s performance is not as good as it could be.

The reviewer noted that the game’s RT setting couldn’t perform well on old mid-range CPUs like Ryzen 5 3600.

Despite the optimization issues, Forza Motorsport has been praised for its graphics, gameplay, and content. The game features over 500 cars and 20 tracks, as well as a new career mode and multiplayer features.
