The Facebook Messenger UWP app for phone and PC has seen a significant update to the camera feature, seemingly via a server-side update.

The new camera UI now lets users add features such as stickers, frames and effects to their pictures and videos and also add annotations and filters, very similar to Snapchat.

The feature is not perfect yet – on the desktop the camera preview appears to flicker on and off constantly, but given that the feature has just been released for iOS or Android the speed of its arrival on Windows is impressive.

Download it here from Windows Store.
