For the month of March, Xbox Live Gold members have already received two free games. Layers of Fear for Xbox One and Borderlands 2 for Xbox 360 were available free of charge to subscribers at the beginning of this month. As lovely as Borderlands 2 is, it was still the Xbox 360 version. Evolve: Ultimate Edition is definitely the highlight this month. For those gamers who didn’t want to wait until midnight, the good news is that Evolve: Ultimate Edition is already available for free through Games with Gold. Just head over to the Microsoft Store to download it.

Evolve is an asymmetrical first-person shooter where a group of hunters take on a towering monster. When the game was revealed to the world, it took home numerous awards including Game of the Show at E3 2014 and Gamescom 2014. While Evolve disappointed many gamers due to its balancing issues, it’s still is a lot of fun if you can find the right team that communicates well. You can also join the hunt offline!

Evolve: Ultimate Edition features almost two dozen hunters, almost half a dozen monsters and 5 game modes. Whether you play as Assault, Trapper, Medic or Support, every role is vital to Survival.

Apart from Evolve, Heavy Weapon is also available for free to Gold members. If you subscribe to EA Access, you’ll recognize it as one of the free titles inside The Vault. Heavy Weapon is basically a modern version of the popular MS-DOS game called Paratroopers. So, if you’re wanting to check out some new Xbox One games, be sure to download Evolve and Heavy Weapon tonight.
