Light trucks are the most popular vehicle category in USA, such that Ford stopped producing sedan cars for example.

Elon Musk has long promised to enter this very profitable segment of the car market, where average prices are around $48,000, and buyers appear more than happy to dig into their wallets and finance these vehicles over many years.

Tesla has promised to announce their truck in November, but Elon Musk has warned that the design will be divisive, saying it will a ‘really futuristic-like cyberpunk Blade Runner’ that ‘won’t be for everyone.’

Now Musk has added some more fuel to the fire, saying “Cybertruck doesn’t look like anything I’ve seen bouncing around the Internet. It’s closer to an armored personnel carrier from the future.”

The only verified look we have had so far of the truck was a cryptic picture Tesla posted of the front of the car.

Combined with the “armoured personnel carrier” statement we can conclude the car will definitely be angular, and like most APCs will likely be fully enclosed. If the car looks like an APC it will presumably also have a sharp angle of approach, possible with a skid plate, which should help with both aerodynamics and an aggressive look.  Possibly something very much like this real APC below:

Musk promised their truck would be “a better sports car than a standard Porsche 911”, as well as a “better truck than a Ford F-150 in terms of truck-like functionality.”

Do our readers think an APC-like truck would be manly enough to satisfy red-blooded Americans? Let us know below.
