Edge for Android enters Top 20 Free Apps chart in the Google Play Store

Well, that was unexpected.  There seems to be more demand for Edge for Android that I ever believed possible.

The browser, which has around 6% market share on the desktop, is climbing the charts in the Google Play Store.

We know it alreadycrossed 1 million downloads only a few days ago, and now the browser has entered the hotly contested Google Play top 20 free apps charts, sitting at the time of writing on position 17, just shy of Microsoft Outlook and more impressively Facebook for Android.

The achievement is all the more impressive for not having significant promotion behind it, through we have seen Microsoft develop a video spot for the browser, which hopefully will hit more than YouTube at some point.
