Easyjet advertises mobile boarding pass feature their Windows Phone app does not have

For some strange reason Windows Phones regularly show up as props in ads on UK TV, but unfortunately this does not necessarily mean that an app exists for our OS.

The latest such example was a new ad for EasyJet’s new mobile boarding pass app, which had me excited for a second when I thought it also supported Windows Phone.

Unfortunately on YouTube the video description only has links to their iOS and Android app.  Easyjet does in fact have a Windows Phone app, but this is just for checking flight times, does not work very well, and does in fact not have anything like a boarding pass feature.

I suspect Microsoft’s marketing team has some responsibility for raising our hopes with this product placement.
