Consumentenbond, a Dutch non-profit Consumer Protection organization, has looked at the differences between the amount of storage promised on the box of a phone (8,16, 32 GB etc) and the actual amount that is available after bootup.

Their testing showed Windows Phone handsets consistently had the most free storage available, followed by iOS, Blackberry and lastly the bloatware called Android.

Of course the Other Storage bug, still unresolved on a large percentage of Windows Phones, does throw a spanner in the works somewhat, but then no-one is perfect, are they?
