What’s not to love about WhatsApp channels? You can get broadcast information that you want, promote your products, host events, and more.

The good news is, according to this new update on both iOS and Android, WhatsApp channels will soon be filterable based on country, activity level, and newness.

Folks over at WABetaInfo first spotted and tested this feature. Basically, you’ll simply have to tap on the “Channels” tab and then select the “Filter” button. From there, you can filter channels by country, activity level, and newness. You can also further filter the results by showing only the most active, popular, and newest channels.

However, Meta will only release this feature gradually. So, even if you’re on the latest update of WhatsApp, there’s a chance that you may not see this feature as of today.

No need to fret, though. The feature is not in beta, so you will be able to use it soon, even if you are not a beta tester.

Not too long ago, Meta also launched a screen-sharing feature on WhatsApp, rolling out for iOS, Android, and Windows users. A new slick interface for WhatsApp with a new color scheme is also coming to Android later this year.
