June 3, 2025 – Discord has introduced new improvements and bug fixes in its latest June patch. The update refines performance, trims bugs, and boosts media handling across desktop, mobile, and web.
Engineers continued migrating backend infrastructure to ARM, which has lowered latency and energy use. They also began shifting core data stores to a shared Rust implementation, cutting memory and CPU use in early tests.
Voice messages on desktop and web now support speed controls and resume playback after interruptions. Discord also fixed app linking on Android and made video and stream startup times over 10% faster through smarter keyframe generation.
