Diablo III is free this weekend for Xbox Live Gold members

Blizzard today announced that from Thursday, July 27 until Monday, July 31, Diablo III: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition will be free to play to all Xbox Live Gold members as part of Xbox Live Gold’s Free Play Days. The Ultimate Evil Edition includes the base game and the Reaper of Souls expansion. During this time you can also purchase Diablo III: Eternal Collection from the Xbox Store at a 35% discount. This brings the price down to $38.99 from the full price of $59.99. Of course if you purchase the game, all progress and earned achievements will carryover into the full game.

This Ultimate Evil Edition contains both Diablo III and the Reaper of Souls expansion set, together in one definitive volume. Rise as one of humanity’s last defenders – crusader, barbarian, witch doctor, demon hunter, monk, or wizard – and collect legendary loot while mastering devastating new powers and abilities. Play solo or form a party of up to four other heroes, either with local players together on the same screen or online. Lay waste to hordes of evil throughout all five acts of the Diablo III storyline, or explore the open world in Adventure Mode to hunt bounties on the elder evils that lurk throughout the mortal realms.
