I’ve not been a major believer in the benefits of 4K video recording, mainly due to the lack of payback facilities and content i.e. most people do not have 4K monitors and most content are 720P or 1080P at best.

I may be open to being convinced however if this demo of 4K recording on the Lumia Denim Nokia Lumia 1520 is any indication.

Reader Njoi Fontes dropped it in the comments in our article on the Rich Recording features of Lumia Denim on the Nokia Lumia 930, and surprisingly there is a massive difference in video quality between 4K and 1080P even on my 1080P monitor.

To best see the difference watch full screen in both 1080P and 4K.
