Steam is having a massive sale on The Witcher games right now, with a couple of games going for less than the price of a cup of coffee (and others going for the price of a cup of coffee and a slice of cake).
The Witcher game series is based off the novel series of the same name by author Andrzej Sapkowski. They’re set in a medieval fantasy world and follow Geralt of Rivia, a genetically enhanced monster hunter with supernatural powers, as he gets himself into all kinds of trouble.
The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director’s Cut is a whopping 85% off, costing just $1.49/£1.04. It’s the first game in the series. The game is split into three different paths, allowing Geralt to ally with the pro-freedom group Scoia’tael, ally with the knight-based Order of the Flaming Rose, or ally with no-one and maintain a neutral status.
The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition is also 85% off, costing only $2.99/£2.24. The Witcher 2 is full of various paths and storylines for you to explore and/or mess up and also contains multiple endings, meaning you can play over and over and get a different result each time.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Expansion Pass is 60% off at $9.99/£7.99. However, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Game of the Year Edition is 70% off, costing only $14.99/£10.49. That’s like, five expensive fancy coffees. The latter contains the base game, the Hearts of Stone and Blood & Wine expansions, and all of the additional content to date.
The Witcher Adventure Game, the digital adaptation of CD PROJEKT RED’s board game set in the The Witcher universe, is also on sale. At 85% off, it’s just $1.49/$1.04. It’s a pretty decent digital board game and, as a nice bonus, you don’t need to have friends to play – you can play against AI. You can also play against your actual friends in a hot seat mode and there’s also online multiplayer.
Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales is also on sale but it’s only 25% off, meaning it’s the price of many cups of coffee and also a breakfast sandwich or two at $22.49/£17.54. Thronebreaker is an RPG set in the The Witcher universe that follows the tale of Meve, a war veteran and queen of two Northern Realms, as she faces an imminent invasion of her kingdoms.
