Quick Pad is a NotePad replacement which is designed to quickly jot down notes. It offers features such as the ability to use Rich Text and support for emojis, but its main selling point is support for an Always On Top mode via Microsoft’s Compact Overlay API. The app has recently updated with acrylic design improvements as well.

For a limited time, the app is available for free. To avail the offer, you will first need to download the UWP app from the Store. Once done, open the app and click on “Remove Ads” at the bottom of the app. This should open the Microsoft Store purchase window. You will just need to click on “Get” to remove ads. The window will show the price as “Free”.

Quick Pad is a great alternative to Notepad with better design as well as feature. The deal is currently available for around two weeks. If you’re interested then you can grab the app from the Microsoft Store below.
