Microsoft has been promising a dark mode for Outlook Mobile since September last year at the Ignite 2018 conference, but so far little has been seen of this new look.
That is until some screenshots of the app in dark have been revealed by the WC. The device shown appears to be running Android, but the iOS version is expected to look much the same.
Dark Mode is spreading through Microsoft’s Office suite on desktop, web and mobile, and it appears on Android users will be able to automatically switch to Dark Mode when in Battery Saver mode, due to the power advantages of dark screens on OLED.
It is not clear yet when the new design will hit devices, but more often than not leaks portend the imminent arrival of new features.
