We are less than 3 weeks away from the launch of Microsoft’s Windows Mixed Reality headset ecosystem, and while Microsoft has managed to get a large number of OEMs on board, like all things the initiative will live or die based on the content available to buyers.

Each game announced for the platform is therefore at this stage significant, and today’s arrival looks like it will be a lot of fun for FPS fans raised on Halo.

Dark Legion VR is an HTC Vive game currently on Early Access which is also coming to Windows Mixed Reality.

It is a fully motion-controlled room-scale sci-fi FPS, which lets you crawl, sprint or teleport around the traditional abandoned space station or alien planet as the “Commander”, accompanied by Elina who gives you remote encouragement as you go about clearing the field.

You can get an idea of the gameplay in the trailer below.

The game is said to be a lot of fun, and while developer Ice World has not announced a full release date yet, I suspect they know developers who jump in first will get the advantage of a rather small pond of competition, so we hope to see it not long after launch.
