Microsoft has been working for more than a year on a new clipboard feature which would mean you can cut data on one device and paste it on another such as from your PC to your phone.

Now a new Settings page has been found in a RS5 build of Windows 10 giving more detail of the feature.

The text suggests the feature may either work in Automatic Mode, where everything you copy gets synched automatically or manually, where you will be offered which devices will be targetted.

On your devices, the feature would rely on using Microsoft applications such a Swiftkey and Microsoft Launcher to deliver the data to your iOS and Android device, and we have seen the underpinnings of the feature in these applications already.

The move would bring your phone and PC closer together and ease your workflow, and seems exactly the right thing to do in this increasingly mobile world.
