Anthropic has enhanced its AI chatbot, Claude, by integrating real-time web search features. This makes Claude more powerful and able to catch up with OpenAI’s ChatGPT. It also enables Claude to access existing information, providing you with up-to-date and relevant answers.

This new search feature is initially available to paying users in the United States, but later, it will be available to free users and other regions as well. You can control the enabling and disabling of the web search aspect through their profile settings so that Claude can use the Internet for the latest information and provide citations in its responses.

Besides letting you easily verify sources, Claude also organizes them in a conversational format, making it easier to find and understand them. That’s especially handy if you, for example, choose to compare product prices or features.

In comparative tests, Claude’s new search tool has been impressive. When compared to other AI engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google’s Gemini, Claude provided long and well-integrated responses, particularly dominating in delivering detailed search results.

You can access Claude from its website, iOS and Android apps, and desktop versions.
