Activision has been rather shy about discussing Xbox One X support for Call of Duty: WWII and Destiny 2 but cover art doesn’t lie. According to a new image of the Xbox One case which appeared online, Call of Duty: WWII will support 4K resolution and HDR on Xbox One X. Of course the Xbox One X Enhanced logo is also there. This is great news for those on the fence about getting the game or those worried about Sony’s dubious marketing deals. Remember the “other console” controversy? Apparently Sony’s marketing deals are so stringent that they don’t allow Activision to refer to the Xbox One as the Xbox One. It has to be referred to as the “other console”. Truly bizarre.

Well, now that we have confirmation, the best version of Call of Duty: WWII will be on Xbox One X because it has a roughly 2 TFLOPS advantage over PlayStation 4 Pro. That’s basically the power of a separate PlayStation 4. Sony would have to somehow fuse together a regular PlayStation 4 with a PlayStation 4 Pro to match it. Be sure to order Call of Duty: WWII on Amazon or the Xbox Store so you can get the free update later this year.
