According to WSJ’s latest report, Salesforce is in talks to buy Slack. Slack is currently valued at $17 billion. So, Salesforce may need to pay more than $20 billion for this acquisition.
Along with its market leading CRM service, Salesforce also sells other enterprise applications and services focused on customer service, marketing automation, analytics, and application development. With the Slack acquisition, Salesforce will be entering the communication and collaboration market, and it will directly compete with Microsoft Teams.
