One of my wife’s favourite games on the iPhone, until she discovered Scrabble, was a simple bowling game. She will therefore be encouraged to hear that a bowling game is also being developed for Windows Phone 7, when I inevitably chuck her phone at the end of the year 
The game is by Jesus Bosch, a Microsoft student partner, and looks pretty good already, but could clearly do with some improved performance in the physics department when calculating and animating the falling of the skittles.
