Carrier Billing company Boku has expanded its support for direct carrier billing for Microsoft Store purchases, even on Windows 10 desktops and laptops, to include Russia and Poland.

The deal will allow customers of Beeline in Russia and Orange in Poland to add their mobile phone account as a payment method in the Windows Store and pay for their apps, music and media via their mobile phone bill.

Beeline Russia has over 60 Million mobile subscribers, and Orange Poland has over 16 Million mobile subscribers. While the Windows phone use base is small there are now more than 400 million active Windows 10 users worldwide, and carrier billing will enable many of them to make purchases for the first time from the Windows Store.
