Nvidia 2070, 2080 and 2080Ti cards have been out in the wild for a while now, but there haven’t been any games that take advantage of the cards’ defining feature: Ray-tracing.
Before use, you should download the newest GeForce 416.94 drivers, the newest Windows 10 update and, obviously, the newest build of Battlefield V.
The RTX reflections have multiple levels of detail choices for those who favor performance over gorgeous reflections. In the game’s options menu you’ll be able to choose RTX quality levels of low, medium, high and ultra.
Benchmarking website Guru3D has conducted numerous tests throughout Battlefield V to test the game’s performance while using RTX reflections. According to the site, the 2080Ti is just able to hit 60fps on RTX Ultra at 1920×1080. The same settings on the standard RTX 2080 hits just under 50fps while RTX 2070 rests in the high thirties.
The performance hit is humongous, but it is new technology. For such detailed and revolutionary in-game reflections, it might be worth the performance hit to some.
