AT&T to drop Android handset, launch 2 WinMo ones instead?

lancaster out Engadget is reporting on according to them a reliable rumour that the HTC Lancaster, an Android handset with a slide-out keyboard destined for AT&T, has been dropped from the carrier’s roadmaps, to be replaced on 2 Windows Mobile 6.5 handsets in October.

Exactly which handsets these will be was not revealed, but Engadget postulates it will be the much anticipated HTC Touch Pro 2 and also the HTC Touch Diamond 2. That would make the devices amongst the first to be released with the updated OS.
