At CES 2017, Asus announced the new ASUSPRO B9440 laptop that is designed from the ground up to deliver on-the-go business productivity with superior style. Asus claims that ASUSPRO B9440 is the world’s lightest 14-inch business notebook. Just like the Dell XPS series laptops, Asus has crammed a 14-inch display into a 13-inch chassis.

The chassis of this unit is made of magnesium alloy for enhanced durability and Asus has mentioned that it has passed MIL-STD 810G standards for durability. It passed extra-high drop, 50,000-cycle hinge, lid pressure, and keyboard spill resistance tests.

The ASUSPRO B9440 is powered by 7th Gen Intel Core i5 or i7 processors, a full HD display, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 512GB SSD. It will offer up to 10 hours of battery life. The ASUSPro B9440 will be available from this May for $999.

ASUS is also selling SimPro Dock USB-C docking station with ASUSPro B9440. This dock includes DisplayPort, USB-C and Type-A USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, VGA, HDMI, LAN, and an SD Card reader.
