Apple’s revolutionary ECG app on Apple Watch Series 4 is now available in Hong Kong and 19 European countries, including France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom. Apple’s ECG app that allows customers to take an electrocardiogram from their wrist received clearance in the US from the FDA last year. Now this app is CE marked and cleared in the European Economic Area.

Another key feature of ECG app is the irregular rhythm notification which occasionally checks heart rhythm in the background and sends a notification if an irregular heart rhythm that appears to be atrial fibrillation (AFib) is identified. You can start using ECG app if you have watchOS 5.2 and iOS 12.2 on your Apple Watch and iPhone respectively.
