Amazon and Apple are bringing the Apple TV app to Fire devices from today onwards. More users will be able to access Apple TV content purchased on their iOS or macOS devices without having to use an Apple TV instead.

Aside from that, you’ll also be able to watch Apple’s original content if you have an Apple TV Plus subscription from next month. Apple TV is the firm’s own service which blends a Netflix like streaming subscription with the old iTunes style buy once, own ‘forever’ style. Technically with YouTube Movies and YouTube Originals, Google did it first. However, Apples simply the one who did it better and managed to lure in better content, faster.

Apple TV will be available for users in the US, UK, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and India today for users with the Fure TV Stick and Fire TV Stick 4K.  The app will be also be “coming soon to Fire TV Cube (1st and 2nd Gen), Fire TV (3rd Gen pendant design), Toshiba and Insignia Fire TV Edition smart TVs, and Nebula soundbar.” If you have a Fire TV or ire TV Stick not listed above, Amazon won’t be delivering the app to your device though you’ll be able to trade in your device for a discount on one of the newer editions.
