Apple Watch is arguably the gold standard for smartwatches. However, Apple Watch lacked one key feature, that is sleep tracking. In fact, Microsoft Band had sleep tracking feature from the start. Today, 9to5mac reported that Apple will finally announce sleep tracking feature for Apple Watch next week. Like the sleep tracking features available on other wearables, Apple Watch will soon allow you to track sleep quality using multiple sensors, heart rate and noise. Users can track the data using new sleep app for Apple Watch.
If you are a heavy Apple Watch user, you must be aware of the fact that Apple Watch will be dead by the time you go to sleep because of poor battery life. To help these users, Apple will be introducing a new software feature that will remind them to charge the Apple Watch few hours before their sleep time.
Apple is also introducing few neat experiences. When wearing the Watch during sleep, if you wake up before their alarm goes off, it will automatically turn off the alarm. Also, there will be an option to use a silent alarm that only vibrates the Apple Watch. Apple Watch will also automatically enable Do Not Disturb mode in iPhone when you go to bed. Apple is expected to detail all these features during their press event next week in the US.
