As part of the Today at Apple program, Apple Stores worldwide offer several creative sessions for consumers everyday. Apple today announced three new art-based Today at Apple augmented reality experiences, called [AR]T. These sessions will feature an interactive walk featuring works by some popular contemporary artists, an in-store session that teaches the basics of creating AR using Swift Playgrounds and an AR art installation viewable in all the Apple Store worldwide.

“Today at Apple offers a window into the creative arts made possible by our products and customers,” said Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail + People. “We hope attendees are inspired by the incredible AR creations in the [AR]T Walk and in-store installation, and we can’t wait to see what our visitors learn to create in the [AR]T Lab.”

Apple partnered with New York’s New Museum in curating seven artists to craft original AR artworks for this program.

Created specifically for this medium, the works — by Nick Cave, Nathalie Djurberg and Hans Berg, Cao Fei, John Giorno, Carsten Höller, and Pipilotti Rist — are experienced via a walk in Hong Kong, London, New York, Paris, San Francisco, and Tokyo.

All three sessions are available from August 10, you can visit apple.com/today for more details.
