Apple today announced the availability of new Research app for iPhone and Apple Watch. With this new Research app, users can join three health studies — the Apple Women’s Health Study, the Apple Heart and Movement Study, and the Apple Hearing Study. By participating in these studies, users can contribute to medical discoveries and help create the next generation of health products. After enrolling in a study, user’s data around movement, heart rate and noise levels will be shared with health institutions for research activities.

Apple Research app features:

  • Review available studies, learn about the research partners and the research goals, understand study expectations, and if you are eligible, enroll by providing your consent.
  • Choose what data to share and with which study, and review and manage data collected.
  • Perform relevant tasks for enrolled studies.
  • Learn how other Apple research studies have contributed to advancements in health science and to the development of innovative health products.

You can download the app here from Apple App Store.
