In an Interview with Bloomberg, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak has shared his opinion on the Folding smartphones. Interestingly, his opinion regarding this new technology is in contrast with many industry leaders who earlier claimed that Folding phones are not quite there yet has a way to go.
The Apple co-founder wants a Folding phone and he wants it from Apple. Apple, however, is yet to share any developments regarding their plans and this is worrying for Steve.
“Apple has been a leader for quite a long time in a few areas such as Touch ID, Face ID, and easy payments with the phone,” Wozniak said. “They’re not the leader in areas like the folding phone, and that worries me because I really want a folding phone.”
We have seen big names sharing their ideas about foldable devices. Recently Samsung, Huawei joined the bandwagon with devices like Galaxy Fold and Mate X respectively. Xiaomi too will launch theirs probably this year.
What Apple has in store with this technology is something on which the entire tech community will keep an eye on. But unlike iPhone which changed the way how we use smartphones Apple’s folding device if comes out no longer eligible to chant the leitmotif – ‘We did it first.’
