Apple announces updated MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Pro

Just in time for the back-to-school season, Apple today announced the updated MacBook Air and entry-level 13-inch MacBook Pro.

The updated MacBook Air features True Tone Display that automatically adjusts the color temperature of the display for a more comfortable viewing experience. Apple is also lowering the price of MacBook Air to $999 for students.

The updated entry-level 13-inch MacBook Pro now features latest quad-core processors, Touch Bar and Touch ID, True Tone Retina display, the Apple T2 Security Chip and immersive stereo speakers with wide stereo sound. It will be available for $1,199 for college students.

As part of Apple’s Back to School promotion, Apple is offering a pair of Beats Studio 3 Wireless headphones with the purchase of a qualifying Mac notebook or iMac.

Both the updated devices are available today through apple.com, the Apple Store app and in select Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Resellers later this week.
