Better late than never is a philosophy one needs to adopt pretty early on when one becomes Windows Phone user.

The latest app heading towards Windows Phone is Angry Birds Rio, the more colourful offshoot of the physics based pig-bashing game.

The news was announced on the Windows Blog, while confirming that the old version of Angry Birds is free on Windows Phone till May 15th.

There Michael Stroh said:

And speaking of future releases—I’m hearing that that Angry Birds Rio is on the way for Windows Phone “very soon.”

Angry Birds Rio was released in 2011 and has been released on iOS, Android, Mac OS X, Windows, Symbian^3, HP webOS and BlackBerry Tablet OS, making its arrival on Windows Phone a sad inevitability.
