Android Co-Founder Rich Miner is not happy about the smartphone-driven world we are living in. He is worried about the “smart-phone centric interrupt-driven world” and the kind of impact it is going to have on the younger generation.
A photo posted on Twitter showed how school children were receiving tons of notifications in a single class period and responding to that photo the Co-Founder said, “I worry about the smartphone centric interrupt driven world I helped created and how it is going to impact people who grew up thinking this is just how things are.”

This is not the first time we are seeing experts showing their concerns over smartphone addiction of children. Various research earlier came to the conclusion that smartphone negatively impacts children’s mind. Not a while ago Washington Post posted a report based on a study by the American Psychological Association on which it was found that “smartphones and social media are altering young people’s reading habits, which may influence their critical thinking.”
Android is pretty much dominating the smartphone world with over 85 percent global market share. And as you know already Rich Miner is one of the brilliant minds behind what we know as Android today.
