Samsung started rolling out the Android 10-based OneUI 2.0 update to the Galaxy S10 series of smartphones in India, the UK, Spain, and Poland a couple of days ago. However, the update was limited to users registered in the OneUI 2.0 beta program, meaning that users running the stable Android 9 Pie update on their S10 smartphones did not receive the update.

Now, the Android 10 update is no longer limited to beta testers as Samsung has reportedly started rolling the Android 10-based OneUI 2.0 update to Galaxy Note 10 users running stable Android 9 Pie update in India and Kuwait. The rollout appears to be an incremental rollout which means that not everyone running stable ANdroid 9 Pie will receive the update on day one. And now that the OneUI 2.0 is rolling out to S10 users in India and Kuwait, we can expect Samsung to roll out the update to more countries on the list in the coming days.

The Android 10-based OneUI 2.0 update brings plenty of new features and improvements to the overall stability of the device. Additionally, the update will also bring a system-wide dark mode along with Smart Lock Screen, Digital Wellbeing, a new Focus mode, a new gesture navigation system and the latest Android security patch of December. The OneUI 2.0 update weighs around 1.9GB.

Samsung was supposed to start the Android 10 rollout in India and China from the month of January next year and the Galaxy S10 series will be among the first Galaxy handsets to receive the update. Nevertheless, it now appears that the Korean manufacturer has decided to ship it one month prior to the original release date and that is good news for all Galaxy S10 users.
