Amazon today has announced a new Echo smart home device; the Echo Show 5. The Echo Show 5 is a compact 5.5-inch affair that’s built to bring the features for the Echo family to a smaller and more compact form-factor. Most importantly, it’ll set you back just $89.99 so it won’t break the bank.

“Since we launched the first Echo Show device, customers have told us they love asking Alexa to show them things—whether it’s a recipe for banana bread, their shopping list, or music lyrics. With Echo Show 5, we’ve made it even easier and affordable for customers to add a smart display to every room of their house,” said Tom Taylor, Senior Vice President, Amazon Alexa. “The compact form factor is perfect for a bedside table or desk, plus it has a camera shutter for added peace of mind, and new Alexa privacy features for even more control.”

Aside from all the regular Amazon Echo trappings, the Echo Show will come with a new smart home dashboard that will let you see on-screen controls to control your smart home devices like thermostats, cameras, doorbells etc.

Amazon’s Echo 5 is available for pre-order on Amazon’s site here and will ship in the U.S., United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Japan, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia next month, to India in July and to Mexico at some unspecified time.
