Amazon Echo Spot makes its way to India

Amazon has been actively working on Echo devices and while the company announced the Echo lineup in India last year, they didn’t launch all the devices. However, this is set to change as the company announced Echo Spot for the Indian market today.

Echo Spot offers similar features as other Echo devices with an added advantage of a screen to interact with. Amazon believes that a screen can help users to interact with both voice and touch.

Amazon considers Spot as a perfect device for your nightstand as you can access all the important information like calendar, weather forecast, alarms, etc. With the introduction of Echo Spot, Amazon has also added the ability to set musical alarms for Echo Spot and other older Echo devices as well.

One of USP of this device is the Alexa-to-Alexa video calling. Since this device comes with a 2.5-inch screen and a front camera, users can use the drop-in feature to video call to another Spot or to the Alexa companion app. Amazon announced the Drop-in feature for the Indian audience some time back.
