Microsoft is set to introduce a Cortana-powered personal assistant soon, but Amazon has already taken the next step, moving from the living room and kitchen to the intimate setting of your bedroom, with its new camera-enabled Echo speaker, the Echo Look.

The product, which resembles a security camera rather than a boudoir accessory, features a hands-free camera and LED lights, and will help you keep a daily log of your outfits, take 360-degree videos, offer you a Style Check which uses machine learning to compare two outfits and tell you which one suits you best, and also help you discover new brands and styles (and presumably buy them from Amazon’s fashion store).

The speaker is also a regular Amazon Echo with thousands of skills and built-in features.

The speaker, which is sure to soon become the No. 1 target of hackers,  costs $199 and is currently available invitation-only, with interested customers able to request one on the product page here.
