Alcatel’s IDOL 4S was re-announced at this year’s Mobile World Congress as the IDOL 4Pro.  The handset, which was originally sold exclusively at T-Mobile USA last Fall, has now begun an international expansion, with Canada being one of the first markets to receive it. In this manner, the IDOL 4 Pro is a rebranded IDOL 4S, albeit this one was aimed at the European market and was expected to start its European availability from June.

The German Site Windows United now reports that the phone will be available from the 1st of July, citing Alcatel’s PR agency as a source.

Along with the HP Elite x3, this handset will now be the second major Windows flagship to be sold in Europe in as many years. It includes standard flagship specs for mid 2016-early 2017, with the Snapdragon 820, paired with 4GB of RAM for snappiness, 64GB of internal storage with micro SD capability, a 21MP rear facing camera paired with an 8MP camera and Windows Hello support with a fingerprint scanner placed in a sensible location. While it doesn;t go blow for blow with modern Android handsets, if you’re looking for a Windows 10 Mobile powerhouse, this is your best bet.

The IDOL 4 Pro is expected to cost 599 Euros when released, there is no other more specific information on other European country launches at this time.
